Create a ‘Living Wall’ at your home, office, or school

13 April 18 Author:Michelle Gaffaney

Indoors, house plants can make a huge difference to a home or workspace. Why not take this to a whole new level with modular vertical planters, encouraging foliage to cover all or part of the wall of your office, waiting room or even living room?

Living walls are a fantastic way to bring colour and life to your building.

Outdoors, create a bold statement and stand out from surrounding buildings with green walls – bring your home or office exterior to life and encourage wildlife to visit your building. Panel kits (such as these from Easiwall Pro)  will allow you to cover all or part of a wall of any size with plants. Or how about a vertical veg patch?

Greenstone Design built living walls’ into our eco-classroom project at Castle Hill School. Pallets were used to cover sections of the new classroom’s exterior walls, which were than filled with sensory plants including herbs. Bird boxes were also incorporated, encouraging birds and insects to make the school their home. The aim was not just to look attractive but to provide a dynamic, creative and sensory learning environment for pupils.
